The International FEURICH Competition for Piano, Voice, and Chamber Music offers young artists from all over the world a platform from which to present their talents in the heart of Vienna - a city renowned the world over for its rich musical heritage. The competition provides an inspirational and communicative atmosphere perfect for making new contacts and networking. A stage where your musical personality can shine - the FEURICH Competition offers a professional and fresh approach which will inspire performers and listeners alike.
Round 1: Registration deadline for the competition, including submission of video: May 20th 2019
Round 2: Performances in each age group: 29th June to 1stJuly , 2019
Age: from 6 to 99
A: 6-9 years
B: 10-14 years
C: 15-19 years
D: 20+ years
I: Solo piano
II: Chamber music
III: Solo voice
IV: Special Category (Elena Cobb Star Price: contemporary music for solo piano)
Categories I to III apply to both classical and modern styles such as Jazz, Pop, and Musical.
Category IV is restricted to age groups A and B and a modern style repertoire. At least one of the pieces must be from the repertoire list.
There is no limit regarding the length of pieces for the first round. Simply upload two videos of pieces different in style/character and add the links to your registration.

The Grand Finale Concert and the award ceremony will be on 1 July 2019 at 18:00 in the historical Ehrbar Hall, Mühlgasse 30, 1040 Vienna.
1st Prize: from 90 to 99 points - certificate, trophy and cash prize (cat.A: 150€, cat.B: 200€, cat.C: 300€, cat.D: 400€)
2nd Prize: from 80 to 89 points - certificate and trophy
3rd Prize: from 70 to 79 points - certificate and trophy
Grand Prize: 600 €
Special Prize (Elena Cobb Star Prize): 100/100 points – certificate and trophy

In addition, there will be two special prizes:

For two selected participants of the FEURICH Competition:
- Lodging and board in Reichersbeuern Castle for the 2020 “Clavis” Festival
- Participation in the cultural programme (trainings, concerts, guided tours)
- Participation in the master classes (instrumental or vocal)
- Solo performance in one or more concerts of the “Clavis” festival in Reichersbeuern Castle
- In the case of minors, parents/guardians take care of their own board/lodging. All travel expenses and extra costs (visa, insurance, travel documents etc.) must be covered by the participants or their parents/guardians.
Special Prize from the International “Clavis” Festival in St. Petersburg (Russische Föderation) 31.10. to 03.11.2019 (www.pianofestival-clavis.com) For several participants of the FEURICH Competition:
- Participation in the cultural programme of the festival in St. Petersburg (guided tours, concerts, master classes, seminars)
- Discount at our partner hotel in St. Petersburg
- For participants at age 18 or older: solo performance in a castle in St. Petersburg
For participants between 4 and 17: free participation in the “Clavis” International Piano Competition St. Petersburg 2019
All travel expenses including board and lodging in Russia as well as all extra costs (visa, insurance, travel documents etc.) must be covered by the participants or their parents/guardians.
All prize winners will be nominated by Natalia Panina-Rummel, director of the “Clavis” festival. She will personally hand over the diplomas and invitations to the participants at the gala concert of the FEURICH competition.
Eligible participants are amateurs and professionals between the ages of 6 and 99 years. In chamber music pieces, the piano part must be played in live performance i.e. it is not allowed for the piano part to be reproduced by recorded medium
Feurich combines tradition and innovation - that’s why the first three prize winners will not only be awarded in the traditional manner, but will also be given credit for creativity and passion. Invitations to perform in concert venues will also be on awarded and performers who excel in these departments will be given special mention.
